I welcome You, Gapt, Great King, Father of Dynasties,

I welcome You, Gapt!
O Great King,
tireless Traveler
who follows the sun
across all the lands!

I welcome You, Gapt!
We are the seeds
of Your sowing,
the horses that run west
in the wake of the sun.
Beneath the banners of kings,
we stand united,
each of us inheriting
the legacy of the Goths
who came before.
Receive these gifts, O Gapt,
Father of Dynasties,
that I freely give to You.
May You lead the charge
into the unknown.

To Theodoric

Simple Prayer

I welcome You, Theodoric, Great Uniter, King of the People!
You succeeded in uniting the Goths as no king has before!
We look to you when we feel disconnected and alone.

In thanks, I give You this offering in love and adoration.

Poetic Prayer

I welcome you, Theodoric!
O Ancestor!
Uniter of the Goths,
you succeeded
as no king has before!

I welcome you, Theodoric!
Illustrious Ruler!
King of the People!
You brought glory to your people
and ruled in your grandson’s stead
while he was still a child.
We look to you for guidance
when we feel disconnected
from the wider world,
when we feel most alone.
Receive these gifts, O Theodoric,
greatest of ancestral kings,
that I freely give to you.
May you bring me into
fellowship with others.
